Josephine's 1860's Garden Bonnet

This bonnet was a universal look in the mid-1800's, and was worn by women in the South and the North during the Civil War. In addition, the bonnet was a great accessory for the brave women who left their homes and rode on covered wagons to find new homes in the 'wild west.' Today, this bonnet is great for we women who spend time out in our gardens and need to protect our faces (and the back of our necks) from too much sun.
